A box on a platform is made up of wooden frames which have paper sides. The box is shown on all sides and then opened to reveal any empty box. With the front open, an electric light is moved around the outside of the box and seen through the paper, proving that the sides contain nothing. The box is closed and shown on all sides. The light is placed into the box through a hole in the top. As the audience watches, something is seen to materialize as shadows become visible. These forms eventually take the shape of a human form. Suddenly, a beautiful young lady bursts through the paper.
